I & J Legacy Investments LLC is a Providence, Rhode Island-based private investment company founded in December 2024. The firm takes a long-horizon, owner-operator approach to capital: acquiring and holding durable small businesses, investing selectively in real estate, and managing family capital with the discipline of an institution and the patience of a family office.
The firm works alongside its affiliate, SMA Trading LLC, which handles research-driven, multi-asset portfolio management (more on johnstenavage.com). Together, the two entities give the firm's principals a full toolkit, from public markets to operating businesses to real property, under a single, consistent investment philosophy: buy right, hold long, and compound quietly.
